Their ice cream received many great reception by their customers, which lead to many creative creations especially the world's largest ice cream sundae. It was made with Ben and Jerry's ice cream in 1983.
The story of how Ben and Jerry's became a succesful company is basically an example of the embodiment of the American Dream through a simple idea of two profound and idealistic men. Ben and Jerry's Homemade, Inc was started by the collaboration of two men, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. On May 5 1978 by investing $12,000, they opened their first Ben and Jerry's store located at a gas stastion in Burlington, Vermont. Afterwards, the growth and success of Ben and Jerry's in the local areas in Vermont, the two decided to expand and distribute their products throughout many different states, such as Maine. On May 1, 1981 on Route 17 in Vermont, Ben and Jerry's openned their first franchise. As a result, Ben and Jerry's became a thriving company after suffering through the abuse of lawsuits from Häagen-Dazs and disagreements between the two owners, the company prospered as it began rising in popularity with their unique ice cream flavors.
